As part of our ongoing commitment to meet the growing needs of our Taxnet Pro customers, we are pleased to announce a number of enhancements to Taxnet Pro, anticipated May 25, 2009. These enhancements enable users to:
1. Assign a Client
Users have always had the ability to assign a Client File at login in order to track activities on a given file. This enhancement will enable users to add a Client File, remove a Client File or run an Activity Report for a Client File, all at login, rather than having to access Client Files functionality from the Work Space Tool bar. 2. Search by Document Number from the Commentary search template
To save time and effort finding references to document numbers in Carswell’s authoritative commentary, we have added a Document Number checkbox to the Commentary search template. Now users can search the Canada Tax Service by Income Tax Act section.
3. Finance Comfort Letters, Excise & GST/HST News and Headquarters Letters
To enable users to more easily find the documents in less time, we have added three new checkboxes to each of the Government Documents and Advanced Search search templates. Now it is easier to find key Finance Comfort Letter, Excise & GST/HST News and Headquarters Letter documents and references using these search templates.
4. Search McCarthy Tétrault CTS Commentary from the Corporate Tax Centre
We have added a new checkbox to the Corporate Tax Centre search template. Now Corporate Tax Centre customers who also subscribe to the McCarthy Tétrault CTS Commentary through another Taxnet Pro library can quickly reference this authoritative commentary using this search template.
5. New Events Calendar Visual Display
Corporate Tax Centre customers will find it easier to keep track of important events using our new monthly Events Calendar visual display. Users will now have the option to view the events for that day; or the current or future months to find events of interest to them. A summary of events presented in an improved table display provides details of each event. Click here to view the demo
6. More In The News content on the Corporate Tax Centre landing page
Users can now scroll through the most recent In The News content from the Corporate Tax Centre landing page using the new scroll bar. This saves time clicking each practice area for the most recent News information.
7. Send attachments with your In the Know and Calendar submissions
Users who wish to submit for publication on Corporate Tax Centre an item for In the Know or an event for the Events Calendar can now also send an attachment. Now users are better enabled to share their news or events with others in their community. Note: to ensure applicability and appropriateness for our customers, all submissions are published at the editorial discretion of Carswell.
